Lopes is a Research Fellow at the United Nations University International Institute for Global Health (UNU IIGH), Malaysia, where she leads several pro- jects that generate evidence on policies and programmes that contribute to advance gender equality and health and well-being. Claudia holds a PhD in Social Research Methods from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a Master’s degree in Social Psychology from the University of Porto (Portugal). She has spent 20 years in academia with positions at the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Coimbra (Portugal), Department of Psychological and Behavioural Science at LSE, and Department of Politics and International Studies at the University of Cambridge (POLIS). Dr. Claudia has also worked as a big data and gender consultant for UN Women and Girl Effect, and as the Head of Research and Innovation at Africa’s Voices Foundation. Her research interests include digital health, social determinants of health inequalities, community engagement and implementation research for public health interventions in LMICs.
