Rita Flórez-Romero

Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Bogotá – Professor at the Masters of Education programme, line of inquiry ‘Communication and Education’, at the Faculty of Human Sciences at the Nacional University of Colombia. She is co-director of the research group ‘Cognition and Language in Childhood’ and adviser on language to the National Ministry of Education. Over more than 30 years her personal, academic, and research interest has revolved around processes of oral and written language development, and their relationship with other spheres of human development over the life cycle. Professor Flórez-Romero has published extensively on these topics as well as on matters related to pedagogy and didactics of oral and written language in the context of inclusive education.
