Centro de Estudios de Población-CENEP

The Centro de Estudios de Población-CENEP is a non-profit civil association located in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. Created in 1974, the Center focuses on the development of scientific research, technical assistance, human resources training, information production and communication on population issues and their interrelations with sustainable human development. Research is the main activity of CENEP and it is directed not only to widen the limits of scientific knowledge – basic and applied – but also to provide reliable bases for the design, implementation and evaluation of social policies and programs of action for the population. Technical assistance to official and private organizations, support and encouragement to study groups, and training of human resources through teaching, research supervision and the organization of seminars and workshops are also among the core activities of the institution.
